Lecithin - a natural substance
Lecithin is the classic name for a group of chemical compounds called phosphatidylcholines. These are lipids (more precisely phospholipids) composed of fatty acids, glycerol, phosphoric acid and choline.
Lecithins are among the main components of the cell membranes of animal and plant life. They are accompanying substances in fats, most oils and are particularly rich in egg yolks and vegetable sperm cells.
As you can see, lecithin is an important part of our lives.

What do we need lecithin for?
As an excellent supplier of phospholipids such as phosphatidylcholine or phosphatidylserine, lecithin plays a crucial role in the entire fat metabolism.
Phosphatidylcholin
Choline (in the form of phosphatidylcholine) is a nutrient that is commonly obtained from food via lecithin. It is only formed to a small extent in the body itself and can hardly be stored. For example, choline lowers cholesterol levels and can reduce the risk of heart and circulatory diseases, poor concentration and memory problems.
In addition to choline, lecithin also supplies the body with phosphorus, which also contributes to strengthening the heart, liver and immune system.
An important ingredient for body and mind
Lecithin can also show its positive effect in dementia, as it helps to improve the transmission of nerve impulses by isolating the nerve processes.
This makes lecithin an excellent dietary supplement for people who value a healthy body and a powerful brain. Furthermore, with its positive influence on fat burning, it brings advantages in competitive sports and strength training.

How does lecithin work?
Helpful for detoxification and blood lipid levels
Phosphatidylcholine is of great importance for several organs. For example, it supports the liver's enzyme system.
Phosphatidylcholine is also of great importance for the metabolism and especially for the transport of fat. In addition, phosphatidylcholine strengthens nerves and cell walls throughout the body.
Memory and mood support
Phosphatidylcholine is necessary for the production of acetylcholine, an important neurotransmitter involved in memory, mood, muscle movement, regular heartbeat, and other basic body functions.
Phosphatidylcholine helps raise brain choline levels and improve symptoms of degenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease.
With the help of choline, drugs, alcohol and toxic environmental chemicals can be better eliminated. Likewise, deposits of cholesterol in the form of gallstones can be prevented. The dangers that arise from increased alcohol consumption, especially fatty liver and other liver disorders, can be mitigated by the intake of phosphatidylcholine .
